Hub Projects

Hub facilities are extremely voluminous buildings, most over 1,150,000 square feet (equivalent to 20 football fields), and contain an extensive arrangement of conveyors and sorting equipment. Below, for illustrative purposes, the magnitude of a hub facility is compared with the Empire State Building. In this illustration, there is an initial build, and three subsequent, staggered expansions, taking anywhere between 10-15 years to complete before reaching full facility capacity.

Hub projects, because of their complexity and the necessary precision in planning and execution, require our customers to strategically prioritize expansion projects; thus, offering excellent opportunities to again collaborate with their design teams and re-introduce engineering concepts based on our initial build: design, controls, and equipment throughout the facility.
