Material Handling Systems

Our Philosophy

“Go over, go under, go around, or go through−but never give up”.

We believe that although the answer to the question may not always be an easy one, there is always an answer. Whatever the course of action, together we will find a solution.

We are proud of the company we have built, the reputation we have created, and the standards we represent. We are accustomed to facing complex challenges head-on and pursuing breakthrough solutions to some of our customers’ most difficult problems.

Our Mission

Material Handling Systems, Inc. is a company of people dedicated to delivering best-value services and solutions based on innovative science and technology applications.

  • We pledge to exceed our customer’s expectations for quality, responsiveness, and professional excellence, and deliver within the agreed price and schedule.
  • We employ people of exceptional creativity, expertise, and determination who work closely with one another and our customers.
  • We encourage and reward outstanding employee performance.
  • We foster an environment to encourage company-wide technical objectivity, professional and financial growth, and entrepreneurial freedom.

Our Facilities

MHS currently operates out of six facilities: four in Louisville, Kentucky; one in Wilmington, Ohio; and the MHS Canada headquarters in Ontario, Canada. One of the four Louisville facilities is corporate company headquarters for US operations, while the other three are used for engineering, manufacturing, and warehousing finished goods. The Wilmington facility is used for fabrication.

Due to the magnitude of aggregate demand and new product development, coupled with an exponential increase in human capital, we are constructing a new 222,000 square foot facility in Mt. Washington, Kentucky, which will become the new headquarters for both MHS, and our sister company, Santa Rosa Systems, Inc. This new building will provide a significant increase in efficient production capacity, maximize our ability to manufacture more efficiently, and improve productivity and profitability. The anticipated completion date is summer 2017.

In the Community

As a responsible corporate citizen, we play an active role in helping to strengthen the quality of life throughout North America and in the communities where we live and work.

The following causes reflect the values embodied in our employees and inherent to the MHS culture. Simply stated, our employees care. Our genuine concern for others is what makes MHS an exceptional contributor to the public good.
